"Day 1: Depart LAX
Fly to LAX airport (not included) to meet our evening flight (included) on Air New Zealand to Auckland. (In-flight meals)

Day 2: Cross International Dateline
Cross the Equator & the International Date Line (lose a day) on our overnight flight. (In-flight meals)

Day 3: Arrive Auckland
Arrive in Auckland, on New Zealand’s lush North Island. Morning city tour of New Zealand’s largest city. Arrive at our hotel and relax prior to our Get Acquainted Welcome Dinner at the Auckland Tower. (Dinner)

Day 4: Auckland to Rotorua
Scenic drive through the gorgeous countryside of the Waikato Valley, world’s richest sheep farming area. Tour Waitomo Caves where we will take a boat ride through the world famous Glowworm Grotto. Then arrive in Rotorua, home of the native "Maori" Polynesians. Tonight, a Maori Concert & Hangi Feast. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Itineraries: Katherine Gorge, Kakadu, Uluru, Sydney, Australia
"Sydney & Uluru/Ayers Rock
After a day in vibrant, confident Sydney we fly across the vast Outback to Yulara. From here we take in an awesome array of natural wonders: the red domes of Kata Tjuta/The Olgas, the ’amphitheatre’ at Kings Canyon, plus of course the imposing majesty of Uluru/Ayers Rock itself. Heading north we come to the Devil’s Marbles, where erosion has created enormous spherical granite boulders - the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent, according to aboriginal legend

Katherine Gorge & Kakadu
Next we drive on to Katherine, where we can explore the dramatic gorge on foot or by boat. In Kakadu, famous for its wildlife and aboriginal rock paintings, we learn about the extraordinary culture of Australia’s first inhabitants at Nourlangie, and take a boat trip on the Yellow Water Billabong, home to the native crocodile. Finally we travel via Litchfield National Park to Darwin where the tour ends. See red route on map.

"Melbourne & the Great Ocean Road
We start in Melbourne, a vibrant city whose exotic markets and fine restaurants reflect its multi-cultural population. Moving on to the Blue Dandenong Ranges, we ride on the ’Puffing Billy’ steam train, before journeying west along the Great Ocean Road - 300kms of spectacular coastal scenery - via Warrnambool to Adelaide. Elegant and famously easy-going, Adelaide is our base for excursions either to the Barossa Valley wine growing region, or Kangaroo Island, home to a number of endemic species - including of course the ’roo!

To the ’Red Centre’ & Ayers Rock
A flight takes us northwards to Alice Springs, at Australia’s ’Red Centre’. Here we explore Kings Canyon and see majestic Uluru/Ayers Rock, surreal and eerie, dramatically rising 348m from the surrounding desert plain. "Cairns & The Whitsundays
We begin in Cairns before heading south along the coast via Curtain Fig Tree and the stunning waterfalls of the Cairns highlands. From here we continue to Airlie Beach. A voyage to the idyllic Whitsundays off the East Coast is next and as we drop anchor in Blue Pearl Bay, we can enjoy some dazzling diving and snorkelling. But for the less active, the option to chill out and relax is hard to resist!

Fraser Island & Sydney
Next we head to Rubyvale and onto Carnarvon National Park to hike in its stunning gorge. After our stay on a working cattle station, we head south and explore the vast sands and forests of Fraser Island, swimming in crystal clear freshwater lakes and exploring by 4-wheel drive. Finally we end in Sydney with the opportunity to climb its famous Harbour Bridge or perhaps hike in the nearby Blue Mountains. See green route on map.
